On the western coast of Rund lies the Empire, the last known fragment of human civilization. The Emperor controls the lords, and the lords exploit the rest of the population that is already hardened by hostile nature. To the east of the Empire, across the Great River, the Wild Lands begin. Once civilized, they are now home to predators, ghosts, and demons. Further to the southeast are the lands of the non-human tribes: dismal swamps, ancient forest, blue mountains, deceptive plains... all teeming with resources. And even more so are the Distorted Lands: the source of Chaos and a cause of growing concern among non-humans.

Every once in a while, a person with magical talent is born in Rund. This unseen power is feared by the established order of the Imperium, as little is known about the potential of a trained mage. The Inquisition, a force of its own that does not report to any state official, roams the cities and towns, sniffing out the use of magic they label as corruption. Packed into the Sanctuaries of the Corrupted, under the watchful eye of suspicious mages, they are made to work for the good of the Empire. The general population supports politics, since magic is an unknown quantity and in Rund you avoid dealing with the unknown.

Deep in the Savage Lands, at the foot of the Blue Mountains, rests the Spire of Sorcery: a sentient citadel that spent centuries in slumber. Maybe it was a place of sacrifice, maybe it was a moving castle, maybe both. It is a dark legend from the past, just like the Rusty Forest and the Sea of Bones. One day, however, the Spire awakens, threatened by the Distorted Earths that begin to invade its surroundings, as well as the gathering of Imperial legions intent on marching east to plunder the nonhuman settlements. Fresh from its slumber, the Spire sends out a Call that reverberates through Rund, reaching out to wizards confined by the Inquisition. Among the wizards who answer the call and try to escape, three manage to cross the Great River, and here the story of the Spell of Sorcery really begins...

Spire of Sorcery is created by Charlie Oscar This is the second major release from our team. We previously shipped the native digital board game Gremlins, Inc. Working together for the past seven years, our goal is to create original games that reward players with new experiences.

The game is already big enough, and deep enough, to offer 4-8 hours of gameplay with many ways to play it. We can't wait to introduce the game to a wider audience because our development process is based on feedback and iteration. Many of the funniest features in the game were born during community discussions!

We update the game every month with quality of life improvements and once every two months with new chapters and new mechanics. This way, you'll have new challenges to try and mechanics to test, all the way to full release.

We hope to reach version 1.0 before the end of 2022. We are committed to shipping new content and new mechanics as quickly as possible, and improving the balance and interface based on the feedback we receive.
